Character Descriptions


All roles will be double-cast (meaning that there are multiple actors playing the same roles and will perform in two of the four performances). The amount of rehearsal time will be directly related to the amount of stage time. Those noted with an asterisk will wear microphones at performances. Click HERE for Character Abbreviations.


Buds are smaller versions of the Flowers who are innocent and sweet. They dance in one scene.

Butterflies transform from a caterpillar to their fabulous new selves on stage! They dance in one scene.

Cardsmen are the unfortunate royal subjects of the Queen of Hearts. They dance in once scene.

Carrollers* are our fabulous chorus and sing in multiple scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Caterpillar* is Alice's wise and fabulous mentor who acts, sings and dances in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Cheshire Cat* is the perpetually grinning narrator of the story, a magical feline who doesn't always agree with itself. Played by three actors, they act in multiple scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Dodo Bird* is the imperious captain of the Queen's Navy and leader of the caucus race who acts, sings, and dances in one scene. They will rehearse November - March.

Doorknob* is the gatekeeper of Wonderland who acts in one scene. They will rehearse November - March.

Flowers* are a stuck-up group of pleasing perennials who act, sing and dance in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

King of Hearts* is the Queen's partner who acts in one scene. They will rehearse November - March.

Lobsters are the Dodo's lieutenants who dance in one scene.

Mad Hatter* is the life of the (tea) party and has a penchant for making up rules. This character acts, sings and dances in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

March Hare* is the Mad Hatter's chummy sidekick who acts, sings and dances in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Mathilda* is Alice's scholarly sister, has no time for silly games. She acts in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Medium Alice* Alice, Small Alice and Tall Alice are differently sized versions of the show's titular inquisitive and intrepid young girl. This character acts, sings and dances in multiple scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Mushrooms guide Medium Alice down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland. They dance in one scene.

Queen of Hearts* is the hotheaded and overbearing ruler of Wonderland who acts and sings in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Sea Creatures are a jolly bunch who are racing (aka dancing) to the finish line. They dance in one scene.

Small Alice* Alice, Small Alice and Tall Alice are differently sized versions of the show's titular inquisitive and intrepid young girl. This character acts, sings and dances in multiple scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Tall Alice* Alice, Small Alice and Tall Alice are differently sized versions of the show's titular inquisitive and intrepid young girl. This character acts in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

Tweedles* are twin oddballs with an identity crisis and an exhausting enthusiasm for proper manners. They act, sing, and dance in two scenes. They will rehearse November - March.

White Rabbit* is the fussy royal trumpeter, ever-worried that he is running terribly late. This character acts and sings in multiple scenes. They will rehearse November - March.
