2-5 Weekly Updates - Fall 2026
Story Structure and Script Writing
Students participated in theatre games and exercises focused on storytelling, including using their bodies and tableaux (frozen pictures) to bring stories to life. They then broke into their scene groups and continued creating their original scenes, focusing on making sure each story has a clear beginning, middle, and end. They also began adding dialogue and exploring what their characters might say to help tell the story.

Collaboration and Teamwork
Students worked in small groups to define their roles and scenes. Teaching artists helped students develop their ideas onto paper in preparation for next week.

Ensemble Building
Our SCT teaching artists joined us today at the church and worked on story structure with our older actors, budding writers and directors. Teachers Abby and Jessica learned what roles students are interested in and worked with them to brainstorm scenes ideas which they will develop over the coming weeks.

Orientation, TAG Values
We gathered in the cafeteria and then headed to the church where actors played “Zip, Zap, Zop”. In four groups, actors discussed what words they want in a class charter. Then each group shared their words in a presentation to the class.
